High, Homogenous Conductivity

By applying a film-based, rather than a particle-based conductive coating, we are able to add high1, homogenous conductivity throughout the fibers of the material. This technology can be applied not only in materials for transmitting electricity but also in products such as electrical impedance tomography (EIT) devices, including pressure distribution sensors and multi-touch sensors.

Safe, Clean, and Long-Lasting

In addition to being silky smooth to the touch, LEAD SKIN has also earned the world’s highest class safety standard—Oeko-Tex® Standard 100, class I2—certifying that it contains no harmful chemicals. As washing does not significantly deteriorate its performance, it can be used safe and clean, for a long time.
2 Certified to be safe even for the skin of infants below age 3.

Diverse Application Possibilities

Our unique conductive coating method, LEAD SKIN TECHNOLOGY, is based on dyeing techniques. It can therefore be applied to a variety of fibers, including polyester, synthetic leather, and non-woven fabrics. By combining our technology with other materials, we can also create compound coatings. We work with our customers to develop products that meet their specific needs, including price, texture, and function.

Effective in Dry Conditions

LEAD SKIN AIR is a new material which makes use of EMS* and ECG** sensing equipment easier. The equipment with LEAD SKIN AIR performs even in dry conditions without gel or water.
*EMS:Electrical Muscle Stimulation
**ECG:Electrocardiogram

Antibacterial and Antiviral Performance

LEAD SKIN’s conductive coating can also quickly inactivate bacteria and viruses3. Under the pandemic situation of COVID-19, our coating helps promote health and safety by offering high antibacterial and antiviral performance in interfaces that are touched by many people.

Protection from Electromagnetic Waves

Cell phones and other wireless communication devices are ubiquitous recently worldwide. Although the speedy communication enabled by high-frequency bands has made our lives convenient, we must take precautions to avoid the increasing risks associated with electromagnetic waves, such as close exposure. LEAD SKIN’s exceptional safety makes it suitable for use as an electromagnetic shielding device4 that can be worn directly on the skin.
